Another lively meeting this morning at the BGG. It’s always interesting listening to the 1 minute presentations each of our members make to the Group each week. Usually interspersed with humour and this morning was no exception. Networking should be fun as well as generating business and the BGG encapsulates that perfectly.
James Cartwright from Perspective Design gave a great 10 minute presentation about ‘cold calling’ and shared some hints and tips about how best to approach this.
These included sending a brief personalised video first before picking up the phone. So that the recipient is expecting to hear from you.
Remember that it’s not about calling to sell to people, but to help them. They may have no need for your own products or services but you may be able to point them in the direction of others who have what they are looking for.
